Photographed sweet little Elle this morning in her nursery. I had to include this first photograph in the peek because of the way the light is hitting her hair – see the red? LOVE IT!

Elle fell into a nice deep sleep and then her mommy and I were able to move her around and take photographs on different quilts she has. I love the elephants in this next one and how curled up Elle is.

Now I have a whole bunch of other favorites, but I think I will leave you with this black and white. This is one of my favorite angles to photograph because it’s the view I remember most from when my kids where little – sweet little cheeks and nose with a bit of lips!

Hope you got to enjoy some of this beautiful day – I think mother nature heard me say I want to move someplace without winter so she is tempting me to say with a mild one. I’ll take it!

Limited Sessions – Fall 2011 – Book Early

As I look at my calendar and realize summer is almost over and my favorite time of year upon us, I also realize my favorite time of year brings us to some of the busiest months of the year! This year will be exceptionally busy for my family, I have my new job, my daughter has increased her dancing in preparation for her future career in dance and she is also working on starting to take college classes. All good things, they just make scheduling more challenging!

I’ve decided in order to give each of my clients the attention and quality I think they deserve, I am going to limit my sessions to just two newborns a month. If you wish to be one of my newborn clients Contact Me as soon as possible, I’ve already had inquiries for the months of September and December. Maternity sessions will only be available to my newborn clients.

I will continue my Bebe Club and Watch Me Grow, plus some fun new ideas and holiday card sessions.

As busy as it will be, I am looking forward to autumn, we are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place!

Mikayla | Newborn Photography

It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you my good friend Joy’s granddaughter, Mikayla. Just look at how fair and beautiful she is!

Now I’ve been told the plan is to surprise Joy with the announcements, so instead of picking my absolute favorites, I’ve selected some really sweet images. Joy will just have to wait to see those really, really, really cute ones!!

I think this spot on the back of a baby’s neck is one of the yummiest places to kiss and snuggle, what do you think?

Landon | Newborn Photography

Oh my, I had the tiniest newborn so far, come to visit this morning! He decided to make his arrival early and hasn’t even reached his due date yet. Now his daddy is tall, of course everyone is tall to me, but just look at how Landon’s ear is the same size as his daddy’s thumb.

He has the longest little legs that he likes to stretch out straight, so I think he might just be tall like his dad.

Landon’s mommy asked for a photograph of his tiny feet with their wedding rings – think how small those toes are to fit in the rings with so much room to spare.

Just look at how wide-eyed and content he was after a bottle.

My daughter turned 17 last Monday, it is hard to believe she was once this tiny! Never mind that I am old enough to have a 17-year-old!

Milford Hospital Baby Fair

I’ve signed up to be at the Baby Fair held at Milford Hospital on April 2nd, from 10am-2pm!

This will be my first fair and I am really looking forward to it.

Sweet Fiona | Newborn Photography CT

Both Fiona’s mom and I were disappointed that Fiona didn’t fall into a good sleep when she visited last week, so I had them come back today. This time she did fall into a good sleep and we got some great shots. All on her own Fiona wrapped her hand up around the back of her neck. She looks so comfortable with her arm and hand in that position, do you think that’s how she slept in her mom’s belly?

It was great to meet Fiona today and see her family again. Just eleven days new she was so tiny and dainty – I could see how much her big brother and sister love her already.

Fiona’s mom brought the same tutu big sister Sloane was photographed in as a baby.

Sweet Fiona never did fall into a deep sleep, but we got some great photographs anyways.

As much as I have enjoyed the couple quiet weeks that always seem to follow December – I am really looking forward to the coming newborn sessions. Newborns are my favorite to photograph. They have so many yummy bits!

I have put this time to good use, completing my daughters baby album. This is a HUGE milestone, since she is going to be seventeen in a few short months! I have also been working diligently on my enormous personal photograph collection. Selecting the ones that will be going into albums, organizing them by events and sharing them online with family and friends.

I held another Time Out event, this is my monthly gathering of friends and their friends to scrap, knit, crochet or work on whatever they like – more important it is time for us to spend with other grown ups!!

It’s been a very cold, snowy month and I spent some time working on my other photography skills – I captured that unreal sunrise I shared here and shot some great macro’s of the ice storm. I found some new ideas to work on, mostly macro and some new editing ideas. I still need to pull together a fun session idea I have involving a steampunk look – still looking for the perfect location!

2011 seems to be a year of great growth and opportunity – I am looking forward to it!
