I’ve been working hard all day, but not my usual photographing and editing stuff. I have been looking up new products to offer and putting together some print packages. I also took a few minutes to update my portfolio, now located in the Information tab – then galleries. Still have lots and lots to do, but I am in need of a change. I keep checking the website with each update and I am quite tired of seeing that last posting!! So here is something new for me and you to look at!

Bartering came first – money much later! Bartering seems to be making a comeback, which is common during difficult economic times when everyone seems to have less money to spend. We are enjoying such a time right now!

Love Bug is willing to barter its full priced rates, for your full priced rates – making sure to keep good records so the Taxman will be happy! This link takes you to the SCORE website with a brief description of the requirements – barter guidelines – accounting and taxes.

I will be creating a barter page with a listing of what I might be interested in, and a list of what I am not in need of. Since this is new to me, I am most likely unaware of all that is available by barter, so please contact me if what you have to offer isn’t on my list yet, and understand if I am not in need of your service/item. If you are a spammer promoting a bigger or enhanced anything, please don’t bother!!

Not Back to School Portraits

We are about to start our twelfth year of homeschooling – the stores are full of back to school supplies and our school friends are preparing for their new year too. Just the other day I was talking to another homeschool mom, whose son was in school, but they decided to homeschool after a serious bullying incident. This mom mentioned to me that one of the things she misses about her son being in school was the annual school pictures, so I decided to create a Not Back To School Portrait package.

Not Back to School Portraits

$40.00 for the 1st child – $20 for each additional sibling

This fee includes the session and 1 sheet per child, so if you have two children it costs $60 and includes two sheets.

A sheet can be 1 8×10, 2 5×7 or 8 wallets.

$10 for each additional sheet.

Milford locations only for individual sessions, or host a party with a minimum of 5 families participating and I will come to a location we agree upon. Hosting family will receive a free sheet for every family attending – that’s 5 sheets free minimum!! Hosted parties can take place at a park, home, or the beach.

Newborns | Love Bug Photography

Sleepy newborns needed – free session- book today!

Know someone who is due soon? Send them my way!!

I am looking for a few newborns to practice wrapping the sleeping newborn in fabric, then photographing.

Also looking for a dad who is willing to be photographed with their newborn.

Newborns need to be under 14 days old, so if you are interested and pregnant contact me now so I can pencil you in near your due date. Best time for photographs is 6-10 days old. The session is free in exchange for a signed release so I can use the photographs for my portfolio and marketing.

I didn’t get back to sharing more of these. I really like these two in black and white. Some photos look best in black and white, I see them and just know that’s the best. With these I would have a hard time deciding, because I like them in color too.

Holidays Already?

My first job other than a paper route, was working at Gloria’s Garden Center. Are you wondering what does this have to do with the holidays? Or photography? I am researching my card options for the coming season, and it reminded me of marking ornaments in July while standing at a cash register in a green house!!

Well July is almost over so I must be running out of time!

It is always a joy to photograph this little boy! He shared so many smiles with me I had a hard time deciding which ones to post as a peek. My son is waiting impatiently for me, so I will post these few and if I get time tomorrow I will post a couple more.
